Has anyone checked out the photos of the inside of Marge Schott's mansion? Wow! It's up for sale. Here's the story with a link to the pics. What do you think of this place? Seems weird that they're trying to sell it now, during a recession.

Its definitely not my taste but all that woodwork and attention to detail is AMAZING! That antique sink in the kitchen is awesome and so is the butler's pantry. I have a feeling someone will buy it as investment property and hold weddings and other events there. Since its a historic landmark, it won't be torn down and parceled off like so many other estates in Indian Hill (and Amberly) and they can't do anything to hurt the integrity of the inside. Its awesome!

It's very spacious! The kitchen, bathrooms would be the first thing I would remodel. I can't imagine having a home the huge!

Wow...I love it.

It's like a medieval castle...I've always dreamed of living in one.

Which is where I would have to. In my dreams.

It's amazing!  I'm intrigued by the hidden rooms and passages.  That would be very cool. :)

The article said it WILL be parceled up.  The sixty acres are being divided into nine 5-acre lots and the remaining 15 acres will remain with the mansion itself.

It's a beautiful home.  The details and exterior are amazing.  I'm off to buy a lottery ticket! lol

believe it or not (and my dh couldn't believe i said it) it's a little too old fashioned for me but historically, it is beautiful and whomever buys it needs to maintain the integrity of the historical landmark.

i hate the kitchen - not functional. the ceilings are way too low and all the wood is a little overpowering. but - the six car garage would be awesome and the grounds are beautiful!

i second the thought of making it a place for restaurant/wedding receptions/etc. - perfect.

It is a very beautiful place - if I were rich, in a way, I would love to have a home like that (and if I did alot of entertaining)!  But in another way, it seems too large, and not very homelike. The exterior is stunning, though.  I am afraid I would have to modernize the kitchen and the bathrooms.   I guess it makes sense that she loved big dogs - you would need BIG dogs in a BIG home like that.

Too many pets, not enough homes -

I looked at it yesterday on the sibcy cline website.  It doesn't have central air which I thought was strange.   Of course if you could afford to buy the house then I'm sure you could afford to put CA in.   It is a nice house but I wouldn't want a house that big.
