UPDATE: From the Enquirer: John Strutz of Delhi Township was indicted today on two counts of murder, gross abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence in the death of his wife.
The accusation is that he killed her and then he dismembered her. Comments on this latest news begin on page 7.
I'm so sorry for this family. I can't even begin to think why a man would do that to his wife and mother of his children.
Police have arrested a man of concealing human remains. He reported his wife missing Saturday, after telling his aunt she was missing. He is suspected of killing her and trying to hide the body.
I knew the woman was missing; her uncle attends our church and had asked for prayer. Even as I was praying, there was a sense that this doesn't sound promising. When I heard she was probably murdered by her husband, I had several emotions: Sorrow that she was in fact dead; anger that her husband might have killed her violently; and relief that it was not a random act of violence that could attack anyone. Does anyone else feel like that? If a madman was on the loose, no one is safe, but if it is the husband, then the threat is contained?
I can't imagine anyone being so cold as to kill the mother of his children and then try to dispose of her body as I am hearing (not all details reported in this story, so I will hold off on further details).
