Ok.. I'm sure we're all familiar with the story.  Baby girl will only go to sleep if she is snuggling with that one favorite blanket.  As the months go by, Mom realizes that they are starting to wear, and heads to the store to buy some "back up" blankets... and there aren't any.  PANIC!!

Here's my deal... Target used to sell these $10-$15 dollar Amy Coe blankets.  They were the plainest most simple blanket ever made.  Solid color, no animals or anything on them, just chenille (cozy & soft) and cable knit (like a sweater).  Now, Target has discontinued them.

PLEASE tell me someone has them out there they are willing to sell to me for the sweetest 9-month old baby girl.  :-)

She currently has a green one & a white one, so color doesn't seem to matter... I'll take any color you've got.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.

Couldn't you just find any chenille blanket for the baby?  I doubt she's really attached to the cable knit.

Actually... it's apparently the combo chenille / cable knit.  She has another chenille blanket and a plain cotton cable knit blanket... and we've tried to convince her that it is the same... but it doesn't work.  If you've ever had a child that is TRULY attached to something... you'd understand.  I had a nephew that wouldn't even accept the NEW "bear bear" that my sister bought... she had to wash it about 30 times before he would finally accept it.  If something is a kids favorite... they know what they like.  (Or at least the kids in my family do.)  :-)

Thanks, though.

Well, I did a quick google and it appears it has been discontinued by the manufacturer.  There was one on ebay with 5-6 days left on the auction.  Good luck!

I was just at the Biggs at Forest Fair mall and they had a couple pink, yellow and blue chenille blankets left.  Very soft and made like a sweater.  Since Biggs is moving everything is on sale and pretty cheap...  I bought a couple blue ones and they were like $3.00 a piece...  I would go and see if they would work instead of trying to buy used...  They are very close in texture..  Hope this helps!!!

I feel your pain!!

That is the exact kind my daughter uses. We have 3 and one is so worn it's edges are coming off and one has holes in it. For some reason that kind of blanket is the only one she will sleep with. I got them back in 2003 and have looked in Target so many times for them since. I have tried a couple since, but she wouldn't use them. Finally I was out one day and ran across some blankets that looked exactly like them. So I bought two. When I brought them home they had the same EXACT tags and item number on the small tags. The only difference was that they did not have the Amy Coe label on them. They are the same exact blanket. Both tags say RN# 15582  Style # 32182-1 and UPC #0-7052-32181-1.

For the life of me, I cannot remember where I got them!!  I have not used one of them, but I have washed the other one twice now. I will sell you the unused one if you want. My daughter is 3 so hopefully she will get out of this favorite blankie phase soon.

Email me if you are interested.

I just remembered!!!  I got them at TJ Maxx in Downtown Cincinnati. I work Downtown so I go to TowerPlace Mall a lot and that is where I got them. It took me a minute to remember!  (Mommy Brain)  Not all TJ Maxx stores carry the same items, so I don't know if any other ones have them. Good Luck!
